Festival Holiday ///

I am selebrating the great festival of Bengali culture "Durga Puja " here in my family relatives house .Yesterday was Mahalaya , the starting day of the festival . It was very nice . There is a lot of happiness in the surrounding atmosphere , the enchanting verses "Mantras" of goddess Durga is prevailing in the atmosphere . There is holiness in the temples & the city gets a new look in this puja time . New clothes , new relationships ,new friends ... all these things are happing here in Kolkata , WEst Bengal . Everything is pure & beautiful . Men & Wimen become pious this time , they become very religious . All things are very beautiful this time . This is the sacred period of time ,when goddess durga is worshiped in places .Sombody says it is " Navaratri '' means nine days . The main festival begins from "Shashthi" -- the sixth day , then comes "Saptami "-- the seventh day , then comes "Ashthami" .. the eighth day , then comes "Nabami" ...the ninth day , then comes the last day of the great festival "Dahsamai" ... the tenth day , emersion of the goddess "Durga " takes place in this day after sweet giving ceremony.The goddess comes with her four children .. Laskhmi , Swaraswati , Ganesh & Kartik.
