Plagiarism detection is associated field of authorship attribution .Plagiarism detection can be of two types . One is external and another is intrinsic . In external plagiarism detection you are given a plagiarised document and a set of source documents from where the given document has been plagiarised . NOw you have to detect the portion of the given document and the portion of the sourse document which has been plagiarised. In intrinsic plagiarism detection you are not given the source documents .Instead you have to detect from the plagiarised document the plagiarised portion of the document .I think external plagiarism detection is more easy that intrinsic plagiarism detection .This is my opinions .
In our lab Santanu and Aniruddha is working on plagiarism detection on external basis.Sir has told me to read related documents on plagiarism detection .They are also working on wikipedia vandalism .I don't know the latest work .
