V . Sriram Thesis

I read V .Sriram thesis . He has done SMT in a new way . His chapter 4 is Discriminative statistical machine translation using global lexical selection . He has done SMT on a new way . I have not read the way in any previous papers . Its a new method . I have the hard copy of his thesis . He has done his Phd from IIIT - hyderabad under Prof Rajiv Sanghal . He is a brilliant student . I met Sriram in IASNLP 2008 summer school . He was then doing PhD . Now he has completed his PhD . I like the field SMT . And I like Machine Translation . Sriram is a good guide . He has guided a project in IASNLP 2008 summer school .

It is difficult

When you are working in an institution , then study in another institution for a degree is very difficult . I can't quit the field NLP . If I draw my concentration from NLP , then Sir can read my face . He becomes angry at me . I can't bear this thing . SO I have decided not to quit the field NLP . But love the field NLP . I am happy when I think about NLP . I cant concentrate on any other field like OS ,Networking . Sir is telling me to get preparation for MTech Admission , but I don't want to study anything except NLP . I will read very deeply about NLP . I am not thinking about future . I am listening my heart . I will always listen to my heart . I will read NLP not for any purpose but for deep knowledge . This is my decision .

Again I need a job , because it will help to improve my family's financial condition . In any way I can't loose my job which is in present in JU in NLP field . I can sacrifice my study at the cost of job . Job is more important to me than my study .I want to work hard . Rest is the result . Jai shree krishna . Save me ...

IIIT - Hyd and NLP

Language Technology and research center in IIIT -Hyd is a very inspiring center if you want to work in NLP field . Prof Rajiv Sanghal and Prof Dipti Misra Sharma are working in NLP field . I have attended many conferences in IIIT - hyd . They are very strong in NLP . I am very much inspired by Prof Rajiv Sanghal . He has a great academic back ground . He is IIT kanpur alumni . I love this NLP field for them and for Prof Sudeshna Sarkar and for Prof Puspak Bhattacharya . These are great figures in NLP . I really want to study hard in NLP field .

1st Day in my college

I can remember the 1st class day in my college . Seniors came and they started ragging us . They give several difficult problems to solve . Again they asked us to perform certain task . They asked me to play the scene of rapping . I performed well . But they again gave me some sentences and then they replaced certain words with certain words which was quite embarrassing . I did not perform the task . A senior forced me to do the job . But I did not . Again Syamantak was asked to do act of masturbating in some steps . It was funny .Syamantak sang a song .He has a beautiful voice for singing . Again you cannot laugh at the task then you will be punished . This is the rule of ragging .Seniors asked us to act as DEVI DURGA . Soumyadeep was selected Laskmi devi .I can not remember the others. But Really It was funny .I and Devlina was selected as Husband and wife . We had to play a role in honeymoon husband wife . It was really enjoyable . Sometimes it was not funny specially for some adult reasons and for insulting comment .

Again When I was 2 nd or 3 rd or 4 th year I can remember that I did not rag any body . I was afraid of the rule and regulation of ragging . It is good that there are several rules and regulations against ragging .

New Machine

Today I have got a new laptop in lab . I am happy that now I can check my mail frequently . I don't have to go for another machine for checking mail . Actually my desk top machine is not responding . It is out of work . So Sir has told me to take a laptop . It's a IBM laptop . Black color with Bluetooth enabled . It has also a sound system so that I can voice chat with my colleagues in time of necessary . Now I am working on Morphological Synthesizer . Sudip da has done a wonderful job in Machine Translation . I am following what Sudip da has done . Soon Our project will start .Sir has told me that I am promoted to Research Engineer Post from Junior Research Engineer post . It is a really good news . My salary has also increased from 15K to 25K per month . All is well . Dipankar is my colleague and friend . I can share my feelings with him . He is a very nice guy who is very serious about study.He has done his master in JU and now doing his PhD from JU under Prof Sivaji Bandyopadhyay . his topic is emotion Analysis in Bengali and in English .

Mamata Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee is my inspiration .She is so hard working . I love her and respect her .Sir has given me her example that if we are hard working and if we have dedication then we can achieve our goals .She is really a AGNIKANYA .She is now chief minister of west Bengal .She is really a good politician . I personally respect her a lot .I obey her .She is so down to earth . She cares for people . She works for people . Her government is for the people , of the people and by the people . Trinomool Congress live long . Her party name is Trinomool Congress .I do not cast vote . But I like Mamata Banerjee .
